  • Stallion Slots

     Barrel Stallions: There will be 100 stallion spots sold at $12,500 CDN  a share per year.

    Roping Only Stallions: There will be 100 stallion spots at $6,250 a share per year.

    o Each spot will count as one share in the Royal Crown

    o Each share is owned by whoever bought that spot: they can do whatever they choose with that spot. They can sell it, sell their stallion with the share or they can sell just their stallion and keep the share to put a new stallion into.

    o A spot will only open up on the waiting list if someone defaults on payment or gives up their position. The spot will first go to current junior/senior stallions, then the roping stallions, and then to the waiting list.

    o Each share-owner will be able to bring new ideas and issues to us.

    o All stallions that were bought in during the inaugural year by stallion owners themselves, (not investor bought in) for 2023 are eligible for life from 2024 (bred in 2023) foals on up. We appreciate you taking the leap with us and believing in the Royal Crown Canada program!

    o Horses that are sold through the Royal Crown Canada Horse Sale are eligible for life.

    o If your horse runs in the Royal Crown Canada futurity or derby, they are eligible for life.

    o All new stallions that are bought in in 2024: only the colts bred in 2024 (2025 foals) are eligible for life and the colts that run in the futurity in 2024 are eligible for life. Older horses are only eligible the year the stallion is bought in, unless they were bred that year or ran in the futurity that year or sold in the sale.

    o The reason for this is we feel it gives an incentive for people to buy in each year, not just every 5th year and not every open horse will be eligible then.

    o If a stallion dies or becomes sterile the owner has the option to replace that stallion with a new one, the deceased stallion’s foals will still be eligible for the Royal Crown; the owner will also be eligible to win the stallion/breeder money from the foals of the deceased stallion.

  • Payments

    The $12,500 shareholder fee may be made in payments.

    Payment due dates:

    * $3,500 due November 1, 2023

    * $3,000 due January 1, 2024

    * $3,000 due March 1, 2024

    * $3,000 April  1, 2024

    The $6,250 Roping Shareholder fee may be made in payments.

    *$3,250 CDN due upon signing of the contract or November 1, 2023

    *$3,000 due April 1, 2024

    o There will be a 15-day grace period for each payment. If you miss a payment, you will lose your spot and all money paid in. The next stallion gets the opportunity to buy that spot for the full $12,500 or $6,250 if roping only. The waiting list will be public so you will know where you’re at. The new stallion owner will need to pay payments and payment amounts on the dates.

    o Once you sign the contract you are responsible for paying the $12,500 or $6,250 if roping only.

     All money will be transparent to shareholders; shareholders will always be able to see where all of the money is spent and payed out.

  • Horse Sales

    The Royal Crown Canada horse sales allows stallion owners and breeders that have bred to a Royal Crown Canada Stallion an opportunity to consign their horses and earn those horses Royal Crown Canada Lifetime eligibility.

  • Jr/Sr Sire

    Eligibilities and Jr/Sr Stallion Option

    Stallion owners who would like to secure their share but do not yet have offspring of competing age may delegate a SR Stallion to 'hold their spot'.

    As soon as the share is purchased the Jr Stallion AND the Sr Stallion begin reaping the advertising and marketing benefits.

    The Jr/Sr Stallion Option allows Stallion Owners to avoid the ‘dead’ years.

    2024 is being used as an example, same scenario applies to any year.

    Jr Stallion Enrolls in 2024 and begins receiving all advertising and marketing benefits and can ensure breeders that offspring beginning with the 2024 breeding season (2025 foal crop) will be eligible for the Royal Crown Canada.

    Jr Stallion delegates a Sr Stallion who has offspring of running age.

    The JR Stallion can compete himself the initial year.

    All offspring by the Sr Stallion are eligible the initial year and each year the share is sustained until the JR Stallions offspring become of age. Offspring by the senior stallions will be eligible for life if sold through a sale, ran in the futurity or derby while the senior stallion is paid in.

    All Eligible for life benefits apply for the Sr Stallions' offspring until the Jr Stallions' offspring become of age.

    (At this point the Sr Stallion has an option to purchase a share himself or in the event the 100 max is met, can be put on a waiting list.)

    All eligible for life benefits apply for the Jr Stallion when his eligible offspring become of age.

    A stallion is considered a junior stallion if they don't have offspring of competition age. A stallion is considered a senior stallion if they have offspring of competition age. You can not combine two junior stallions or two senior stallions into one spot.

  • Offspring Eligibilities

    Eligible for Life

    Horses that are sold through the Royal Crown Canada Horse Sale are eligible for life. (Horses must be sired by a RCC Stallion to be eligible to be consigned and consigned horses must have actually sold at the sale, not merely consigned.) You can pay the commission if you choose to make a horse lifetime eligible.

    Any horse that runs in the Royal Crown futurity is eligible for life.

    Any horse that runs in the Royal Crown derby is eligible for life.

    Any horse that competes in the roping futurity is eligible for life.

    When a stallion is bought in, all ages of foals are eligible to run.

    If a stallion drops out of the program ONLY the offspring conceived in the years the stallion was enrolled are eligible (with the exception of the offspring that earned eligiblity for life).

    Additional Initial Year Benefits

    Initial year benefits apply only to the year the first share is purchased.
